We assess project feasibility and suggest the best locations, handling every phase from budgeting, casting, location scouting, crew selection, rentals, and permits, to set organization and post-production.

We also assist foreign productions in finding product placements, and regional funding, thanks to our connections with all Italian film commissions.

How It Works

We can, subject to approval, access the tax credit granted by the Italian Ministry of Culture for the expenses incurred in Italy by the foreign production company.

Schmid collaborates with accountants and legal consultants specialized in the entertainment industry to:

• Structure the project to obtain the maximum tax incentive

• Manage all necessary documentation and ensure regulatory compliance.

Unlike Hollywood or Eastern Europe, Italy offers a hybrid model of backlot filmmaking: blending studio-built sets, temporary construnctions, and natural urban historical locations that serve as ready-made cinematic environments.
